Founded in 1974 by brothers Houston and Dick Thomas, Sperry’s Restaurant is a Nashville institution
known for its quality meats and fresh seafood, plus Nashville’s first salad bar with signature dressings,
and Old English steakhouse decor. Al Thomas, Houston’s son, purchased the business from his father and
uncle in 2000 and applied his decades of experience working in the hospitality industry to perfecting the
family business while remaining true to the original concept. The menu and decor remain largely
unchanged today, drawing record crowds of Nashvillians and visitors who crave an original taste of Music
City in the face of the city’s continued growth.
