Barber, a Nashville native and Assistant Professor of Jazz Studies at UNC, is renowned for his dynamic performances and compositions that blend jazz, blues, funk, classical, and world music. His ensemble, Everyday Magic, showcases his commitment to musical excellence and innovation.
Joining Barber is acclaimed seven-string guitarist Ted Ludwig, a New Orleans native celebrated for his soulful melodies and technical mastery. A protégé of Ellis Marsalis Jr., Ludwig has performed with jazz luminaries and earned accolades for his original works, including the jazz guitar concerto "Katrina."
The quintet is rounded out by pianist Matt Endahl, drummer Joshua Hunt, and bassist Kevin Beardsley, each bringing their unique artistry to the group.
