In recognition of the 100th anniversary of the Marquis de Lafayette having come to Nashville during his farewell tour of the United States, Nashville Opera will present a program featuring French operatic music from popular operas such as Bizet's CARMEN, and Gounod's ROMÉO ET JULIETTE, along with other operatic selections, classical art song, and French cabaret song. Join us in the Grand Hall of the Tennessee State Museum for this free musical event. Visitors are then encouraged to view the exhibition Welcome Lafayette, Friend of Liberty, on display at the Museum for a limited time.
