Scarritt Bennett Center, a nonprofit conference, event, and retreat center dedicated to the mission of radical hospitality, and creates space where individuals and groups engage each other to achieve a more just world. Owned by United Women in Faith, our campus is formerly home to United Methodist-related Scarritt College for Christian Workers (1924–1980) and Scarritt Graduate College (1981–1988). Today, Scarritt Bennett Center works to continue the powerful legacy of the Scarritt students, faculty, and staff in the fight for women’s empowerment, racial justice, and dignity for all.
Our serene retreat, conference and event center sits on 11 acres in the heart of Midtown Nashville, TN. We offer 22 meeting rooms, ranging in capacity from 4 – 300, and Historic Wightman chapel for weddings and events. In addition to meeting and event spaces, we offer delicious catering by on-site Chef and staff. Free wireless internet access, friendly and hospitable staff, complimentary parking, and are 9 miles to Nashville Airport (BNA). We also have two homes on our campus for AirBnB rental that sleep 8-10 people, and affordable dorm-style overnight accommodations. We have historic Gothic architecture and we are walking distance to Vanderbilt, Music Row, Hillsboro/Edgehill area and restaurants.

Transformative Education - We build on our legacy of teaching and learning to empower people to be progressive catalysts in their communities.
