NASHVILLE, TN (August 19, 2024) – Postino, the all-day restaurant and wine bar known for its cult-like following, welcoming hospitality and locally-inspired spaces – is bringing its first Tennessee location to Nashville this fall. Slated to open in the 12 South neighborhood, next door to Faherty and across the street from Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, Postino is excited to introduce itself as a new hangout spot where ‘Drinking Wine at Lunch Is Not a Crime.’ Located at 2317 12th Ave S., the 3,780 square foot space will offer a 135-seat restaurant, including a 68-seat outdoor patio, and invites guests with Postino’s warm, come-as-you-are culture and eclectic design.
Open daily for lunch and dinner, Postino will proudly pour a wide variety of Tennessee craft brews, alongside more than 30 wines by the glass, and seven cocktails. When it comes to food, Postino has a decked-out menu of bruschetta, panini, salads and a lineup of crave-worthy charcuterie boards and shareables.
Plus, Postino offers it’s fan-favorite, award-winning, and unmatched happy hour specials, including the daily staple $6 ‘til 5pm (all wines by the glass and pitchers of beer for $6 from open – 5pm) and $25 Bottle & Board on Monday & Tuesday evenings (a bottle of wine and a board of bruschetta for only $25).
And all of this can be enjoyed inside of a one-of-a-kind, vibrant kicked-back space served up with a sophisticated twist. Knowing that a historical tenant of the 12 South building was South Eastern Radio & Television Institute, the Postino team has been hard at work designing an art wall dedicated to vintage TV’s, drawing inspiration from MTV’s first music video, the Bungles “Video Killed The Radio Star.”
“There is so much to love about Nashville and everyone on the Postino team is very excited to soon be a part of this thriving community,” said Postino Co-Founder and CEO Lauren Bailey. “We just knew that 12 South was a neighborhood that we wanted to be a part of.”
Postino draws its name from the Italian word for postman – an homage to the former 1940’s post office where the first Postino was born over 20 years ago – but each location is unique to the neighborhood and community in which it lives. Accordingly, the move to Nashville started with the discovery of the charming and vibrant community that 12 South has to offer, making the new Postino destination a great addition to the area filled with shops, cafes, and bars. Because of the popularity of the area amongst both locals and tourists, the new Postino location can be expected to serve as the perfect space for date nights, happy hours, and gathering space for friends and family to catch up over great food and drink.
Postino hallmarks include sophisticated mid-century modern furniture sourced from local vintage shops, quirky found objects and showstopping art installations, rollup garage doors, custom walnut wine walls, and playlists that keep the good times rolling. Plus, what makes Postino special, their simple yet powerful mission to “Make People Feel Good.”
“We hope that Postino will serve as a go-to neighborhood hangout in 12 South and we look forward to seeing the friendly faces in Nashville,” Bailey says. “We can’t wait to showcase everything that Postino has to offer when we open our doors this fall.”
Postino will be located at 2317 12th Ave S. For more information visit postinowinecafe.com.
