Nashville, Tenn. (September 10, 2024) - The Nashville Film Festival (NashFilm), a week-long celebration of film, music and culture, today announced additional titles to join the previously slated films for the highly anticipated 55th annual festival. Of the five new special presentations, the 2024 Centerpiece Presentation will be Sony Pictures Entertainment’s highly anticipated “SATURDAY NIGHT,” directed by Jason Reitman and written by Gil Kenan and Reitman.
In addition to the full slate of programming, including over 150 films, the five newly announced titles confirmed to screen at the upcoming festival include:

A film from Amazon MGM Studios, “SUPERBOYS OF MALEGAON” follows the journey of aspiring filmmaker Nashir Shaikh as he bands together his group of friends to make a film for his small town of Malegaon. This Hindi-language film is a heartwarming tale that beautifully captures the essence of friendship and the transformative power of filmmaking based on Shaikh’s real-life interest in filmmaking and the 2008 documentary SUPERMEN OF MALEGAON.

Produced by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, “UNSTOPPABLE” is a biographical sports drama from Amazon MGM Studios that centers around the life of wrestler Anthony Robles. Despite being born without a right leg, Robles overcame major obstacles, both at home and on the mat, to become an NCAA Division 1 champion wrestler at Arizona State University. “UNSTOPPABLE” is adapted from Robles’ memoir, Unstoppable: From Underdog to Undefeated: How I Became a Champion.

AMBER ALERT | Directed by Kerry Bellessa | Starring Hayden Panettiere, Tyler James Williams, Kevin Dunn and more
From Lionsgate Films, an ordinary rideshare becomes a high-stakes game of cat and mouse when Jaq and Shane receive an alert of a child abduction on their phones. Quickly realizing they are behind a car that matches the description of the kidnapper’s, Jaq (played by Hayden Panettiere) and Shane (played by Emmy winner Tyler James Williams) desperately race against time to save the child’s life.
*Lionsgate Films’ “AMBER ALERT” will screen at the Regal Green Hills on September 24 at 9 p.m. Director, Kerry Ballessa will be in attendance for a Q&A post screening.
