Adventure Science Center Announces Future Exhibit Plans

Fossil Frontiers Opening Summer 2024.

Nashville, TN, May 21 - Starting this summer, Adventure Science Center will begin unveiling Fossil Frontiers - an exhibition featuring important fossil discoveries from across Tennessee and the South alongside learning experiences for all ages.

Fossil Frontiers will include dinosaur skeletons, fossil displays, and interactive activities about paleontology sure to make all visitors ROAR with excitement!

Adventure Science Center is actively working to acquire a variety of casts and has confirmed the inclusion of a Deinonychus. This species could grow up to 11 feet long and lived during the Cretaceous Period about 115 - 108 million years ago. The first remains were uncovered in 1931 in southern Montana. Fossil Frontiers will also include educational information about the Edmontosaurus, a herbivore that also lived during the Cretaceous Period and the only land dinosaur fossil found in Tennessee.

Guests frequently inquire about the Inclusion of more paleontology and Adventure Science Center is excited to bring this new experience to life. Fossil Frontiers will be located on the first floor near the Sudekum Planetarium and construction is already underway. This exhibition will also provide the science center with another premier rental space for corporate dinners, association retreats, and private events. More information will be announced over the coming months.
