Line Cook-The Blueprint Underground Cocktail Club

The Blueprint Underground Cocktail Club is currently seeking Line Cooks to join their team of top talent. The Blueprint Underground Cocktail Club has elevated nightlife to unprecedented heights as the premiere nightlife venue, and event space. With a rotating guest list of “who’s who” of notables, celebrities, international DJs and live acts. The clubs are transformed into the ultimate nighttime escape, where celebrities and VIPS come to play until the early hours of the morning. Applicants should possess solid bar/night life operations knowledge and experience, inspiring service, creative impulses, high standards and fluency in trends.

General Overview
Line Cooks are responsible for the timely and consistent preparation of all menu items, including any reasonable special requests during service. A line cook possesses technical culinary skills and the ability to prepare great food while maintaining the highest food standards and contributes creative input toward team development.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Consistently prepares products according to plates batch recipe specs.
  • Possess effective communication skills to expedite service.
  • Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
  • Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
  • Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
  • Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.
  • Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Personal Attributes

  • Basic understanding of sanitation and regulations for workplace safety
  • Basic understanding of learn food handling techniques, preparation, and cooking procedures.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.
  • Follows directions and instructions.

Education and Experience

  • Previous restaurant experience preferred.
  • Must complete Food Handlers Certificate
  • Must be at least 21 years old.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of standing and working in a kitchen
  • Exposure to extreme heat, steam, and cold present in a kitchen environment
  • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
  • Manual dexterity to cut and chop foods and perform other related tasks.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
