Ceramic Souls Pottery Studio To Open Soon In East Nashville

The Creative Studio Sets A Soft Opening Date Of April 1 Ahead Of Its Grand Opening In Early May.

NASHVILLE, Tenn.Ceramic Souls, Nashville’s first 24/7-access pottery-only studio, has announced the soft opening of its East Nashville location on Tuesday, April 1. Located inside the Highland Yards development, the studio will feature recurring adult and child pottery classes, interactive workshops, and a tiered membership model inclusive of all-hours studio access, premium tools and equipment, and community fellowship for potters of all experience levels from beginners to seasoned artists.

“After years in corporate America, I rediscovered my passion for pottery and incepted Ceramic Souls as a haven for claymakers — a space that nurtures the heart, mind, and body,” said Julia Ducayet, founder and owner of Ceramic Souls. “Our mission is to cultivate an inclusive and inspiring space for Nashvillians of all stripes to fuel their creativity and discover an enduring love for connecting through clay. I’m not a master potter, and I don’t have a degree in ceramics or decades of experience. What I do have is a deep passion—for community, connection, growth, learning, and teaching."

Throughout April, the studio will begin to offer its wheel-throwing and hand-building class series with the first class beginning on April 1 at 10:30 a.m. Membership applications are now live on the website and studio access will begin on the first of the month. The first weekly, beginner-friendly Happy Hour: Intro to Wheel Class will be held on Friday, April 11 at 6 p.m. Finally, the studio will begin to offer interactive workshops like the Spring Fling & Clay Things Workshop on April 12 and Glaze & Blaze: A 4/20 Pottery Workshop on April 13.

As an introduction to the studio experience, Ceramic Souls will host a series of Open Houses on Thursday, March 27 from 6 – 8 pm, Friday, March 28 from 3 – 5 pm, and Saturday, March 29 from 9 – 11 am to guide potential members and interested neighbors through the space and answer any questions. These informative, informal sessions are free to attend and open to the public.

Ceramic Souls is located at 747 Douglas Avenue, Suite 112, and will be open 24/7 for members and by appointment for students enrolled in classes, workshops, and events. The official grand opening celebration will be set in early May as the studio unveils more design features and releases its expanded class offerings. More details about the event are coming soon.
