NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tailor Nashville, the award winning South Asian American dinner party style restaurant, has found a new home just around the corner from its current 1300B 3rd Ave. N. address. In early 2022, Tailor will relocate to the Taylor Place development at 620 Taylor Street in Germantown, which will offer the restaurant a stand-alone, 2,000-square-foot space to welcome guests. Culinary Creator Vivek Surti and business partner Heather Southerland will continue to offer the tailor-made dining experience they are known for, including the engaging vignettes told by Surti between courses.
“Our vision for Tailor has always been to give guests an unforgettable night, and this move represents our continued commitment to that,” said Surti. “We are excited to create a more comprehensive experience for guests from beginning to end.“
The team of architects at Pfeffer Torode are designing the new Tailor Nashville location, and the build-out of the space is expected to be completed by early 2022. Operations at the current location of Tailor will wrap up with the final service taking place on Sunday, Aug. 22, and Surti and Southerland plan to use the fall season as an opportunity to go back to the restaurant’s pop-up roots. Prior to opening Tailor in December 2018, Surti created Nashville’s first and longest-running series of more than 100 sold-out pop-up concepts through VEA Supper Club.
Surti added, “As we curate the new space’s layout and design with creative intention, Heather and I felt that there’s no better way to immerse ourselves into that process than to go back to our roots, focusing on each and every aspect of our operations as an opportunity to wow our dinner guests. While it’s always bittersweet to leave your first home, we certainly can’t wait to welcome everyone to the new one.”
More details about Tailor’s pop-up plans will be announced in the coming weeks online at www.tailornashville.com and through the restaurant’s Instagram and Facebook pages.
