NASHVILLE - CBS will ring in the New Year by presenting New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash, marking the first time for Music City to anchor an entire New Year’s Eve national TV special, the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp announced today.
The live show at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park will be anchored by headliners Dierks Bentley and Lady A, along with special guests. It is free and open to the public. The five-hour television celebration on CBS will feature nearly 50 performances from a dozen locations in downtown, including live performances from the main stage at Bicentennial Mall and acts from Lower Broadway’s honky-tonks, bars and clubs. It will be aired on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.

Nashville’s New Year’s Eve concert has been featured on multiple major networks, but this is the first time the city is hosting an entire network TV special. The TV show will broadcast from 7pm to 10pm CT and resume at 10:30pm CT after a 30-minute break for news. The CBS show will conclude at 12:30am CT.
Gates for the live show at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park will open at 4pm. Please note, proof of vaccination or negative test (dated December 30 or 31) will be required for entry into Bicentennial Mall.
As is tradition, the Music Note will be raised, followed by a performance from the Fisk Jubilee Singers, a world-renowned ensemble that will perform a selection of spiritual music. The show’s highlight will be the traditional Music Note Drop and accompanying fireworks display at midnight to usher in the New Year. As a live event, New Year’s Eve generates as much as $26.2 million in direct visitor spending and an attendance of 200,000.
The Jack Daniel’s New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash live event is produced by the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp for the city of Nashville and presented by Jack Daniel’s. Partners include Advance Financial, Bud Light, Coca-Cola Consolidated and Dr Pepper Zero.
The New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash broadcast by CBS is executive produced by Robert Deaton and Mary Hilliard Harrington in partnership with the NCVC. The special will be directed by Sandra Restrepo. The CBS show will feature performances from country music’s hottest superstars, including Jason Aldean, Jimmie Allen, Kelsea Ballerini, Gabby Barrett, Dierks Bentley, Brooks & Dunn, Luke Bryan, Elle King, Miranda Lambert, Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton, Cole Swindell, and more. The broadcast will cross multiple time zones, with the traditional countdown at midnight ET, culminating with the renowned Nashville Music Note Drop and fireworks at midnight CT.

Fisk Jubilee Singers®
Fisk Jubilee Singers® are vocal artists and students at Fisk University in Nashville, Tenn., who sing and travel worldwide. The original ensemble introduced the Negro spiritual to the world in 1871 as they traveled and raised money to sustain Fisk University. The ensemble was also instrumental in preserving this unique American musical. During their early years of travel and performance, they sang for crowned heads around the world. The Fisk Jubilee Singers continue the tradition of singing the Negro spiritual around the world, and recently performed in renowned venues such as The Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, Smithsonian Institute, Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum, The White House and Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. In 2007 the ensemble also traveled and performed in Ghana at the invitation of the Department of State in celebration of Ghana’s 50th Independence anniversary. The two-time GRAMMY-nominated and Dove Award-winning Fisk Jubilee Singers have received numerous awards including the induction into the Music City Walk of Fame, the Gospel Music Hall of Fame and the GRAMMY Hall of Fame. In 2008, the Fisk Jubilee Singers were awarded the 2008 National Medal of Arts by former President George W. Bush at the White House.
