Nashville, TN (November 9, 2020) Pickers Original Vodka, Tennessee’s first craft vodka, has commissioned several murals by Nashville mural artist, Bryan Deese, to honor Nashville and our musicians. Deese recently finished his third mural, featuring local musician and respected drummer, Jerry Pentecost. The mural is located at The Purple Building at 5 Points in East Nashville. Deese’s previous murals feature Sam Bush & Kendell Marvel and Alyanna Royale. The next mural will be commissioned in January 2021.
Jerry Pentecost has twice served as a member of the Americana Music Awards house band, backing artists such as The McCrary Sisters, k.d. lang, Rosanne Cash, Lori McKenna, Irma Thomas, and Van Morrison. Pentecost was nominated for Americana Music Association's 2018 Instrumentalist of the Year, only the second drummer to receive that recognition. He can also be seen playing with Brent Cobb and the Old Crow Medicine Show.
The murals highlight Pennington Distilling Co's. pledge that $1 for every bottle of Pickers Original Vodka sold in all their accounts that support live music will be donated to Music Health Alliance. For every $1 donation, MHA is able to provide $30 in life-saving healthcare resources.
