NASHVILLE, Tennessee (September 2020) – DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Nashville Airport’s recently completed renovations reveal a socially distanced setting for special events, seminars, pop-up shops and meetings, with plenty of access to fresh air and the great outdoors as businesses and social groups look for ways to gather in a Covid-19 world.
The brand new Capitol Ballroom, boasting over eighteen hundred square feet for meeting, dancing, or otherwise socializing, features a large, overhead skylight and a wall of floor-to-ceiling glass doors which can be opened to the new twenty-three hundred square foot, poolside Fleetwood Patio Bar, creating an indoor-outdoor event to remember. The ballroom holds up to 150 guests, the largest group space on property with a 350 square foot pre-function hospitality area located adjacent to the hotel’s lobby. With elements of nature on the walls and plenty of natural light, the space feels open and spacious. Groups renting the space can use the space in a multitude of ways, including:
- Hosting a seminar, meeting or workshop with plenty of space to allow for social distancing.
- Setting up a pop-up shop, with vendors’ booths spread out across the space.
- Throwing a social gathering including a wedding or wedding reception, dance party or birthday with friends, family reunion, military or medical group, and more.
In addition to event spaces, DoubleTree Suites Nashville’s groups can enjoy its renovated outdoor courtyard and pool, complete with built-in loungers in the shallow end, cabanas, and fire pit. The Fleetwood Patio Bar, which is brand-new for the property, provides a full poolside bar experience including beer, wine, spirits, and specialty cocktails - some featuring locally-made whiskeys - along with an American style food menu so guests can stay poolside while refueling. The new food truck can also provide catering for any on-site event with menus customized to the group’s needs. The menu features classic favorites such as Loaded Potato Skins and the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. This unique outdoor dining experience also features two big screen televisions that can be tuned into sports or customized content for your event such as a slide show for a family reunion or some positive words of affirmation for a business gathering. For a hearty breakfast ahead of seeing the Nashville sights or a nice dinner to cap off the day, guests also have the option of Harmony Kitchen and Bar to enjoy all American fare and cocktails from Harmony’s full bar.
The outside of the property is not the only area boasting a new look, DoubleTree Suites Nashville has also refreshed its 138 all-suite guest rooms with new headboards, side tables, upholstery and linens. For those looking to upgrade their experience further, DoubleTree Suites Nashville has created two new premium suites, the Celebration Suites, made just for groups. These suites boast three rooms including a parlor, King bedroom, and gathering room with tables for meeting, dining or gaming and can accommodate up to 15 people for a get-together.
The new event spaces complement the existing six meeting and event venues, bringing the total amount to more than 7,100 square feet which can accommodate between 10150 attendees. Capacities for each space may vary due to social distancing guidelines and can be explored when inquiring about availability.
Just three miles from the Nashville International Airport, guests can make use of free parking and WiFi, and continue to look forward to the signature, warm DoubleTree chocolate chip cookie upon check-in.
To address safe group travel practices the hotel is part of Hilton’s EventReady with CleanStay program which insures the highest level of socially responsible solutions for gatherings.
