NASHVILLE, TN – (August 27, 2020) - Get ready for a new virtual experience with Musicians Corner’s Sundown Series. Musicians Corner’s free fall programming will take place online in an effort to keep the Nashville community safe in light of COVID-19. This virtual series will take place on Musicians Corner’s Facebook and YouTube channels each Thursday at 8 PM in September and October, and will feature a 30-minute performance by Musicians Corner Alumni. Viewers may also tune in at MusiciansCornerNashville.com, where a video stream will be embedded.
“We can’t wait to gather again in Centennial Park, though it’s not yet safe to do so,” said Justin Branam, Musicians Corner Program Director. “In the meantime, we hope that our audience will join us online as we support the artist community who will deliver engaging performances from the safety of their homes.”
Each live video will include performances by Musicians Corner favorites including indie-folk singer Erin Rae, local soul favorite Devon Gilfillian, heartfelt singer/songwriter Matthew Perryman Jones, lively throwback quartet The New Respects, soul revivalist Jason Eskridge, world-renowned upright bassist Scott Mulvahill, acclaimed singer and songwriter Jill Andrews, timeless pop vocalist Bre Kennedy, and Grammy-nominated roots singer Amythyst Kiah.
The Sundown Series will also showcase local small businesses. “Local vendors and food trucks are an integral part of the festival atmosphere, and our events simply wouldn’t be the same without them,” said Leah McMullin, Musicians Corner Event Manager. “Although we can't be together in person this year, we are excited to feature some of our favorite local artisans and food vendors on our website and social media as part of the new virtual Sundown Series.”
