NASHVILLE, TENN. – Sept. 9, 2020 – Gray Line Tennessee, along with many of Nashville’s once thriving hospitality businesses, has had a challenging few months with much of its business shut down due to COVID-19 restrictions. With the recent gradual reopening of Music City’s tourism businesses, Gray Line’s sightseeing tours are out in front on the road to recovery with increased safety protocols, modified schedules and a new centralized pickup-and-return location at the Riverfront Train Station located at the intersection of Broadway and 1st Ave. South.
“Gray Line Tennessee has always prioritized the health and safety of our guests and employees,” said Chuck Abbott, CEO of Gray Line Tennessee. “It’s no different now. We follow the CDC’s recommendations and then add the joyful, memorable experiences of these unique sightseeing tours that only we can offer with our experienced tour guides and expert drivers.”
COVID-19 response and precautionary measures include:
- Capacity and Schedule – many vehicles operate below full capacity to allow for extra room to socially distance. Modified schedules have allowed for us to best serve our customers and meet their needs for tour times.
- Cleanliness and Sanitation – 100% compliant with CDC guidelines. We throroughly disinfect each bus between trips, and use electrostatic sprayer among other cleaning techniques.
- Wellness Checks – Temperature checks are required for all passengers. At the beginning of each shift, all employees are required to complete a daily wellness check and certify they do not have a temperature above 100 F and are not experiencing symptoms of coronavirus. All employees (and customers) are asked to remain home if they are not feeling well.
- Sanitation Stations and Social Distancing on Every Vehicle – For the protection of our guests and employees, hand sanitizer stations have been installed at the entrance of every vehicle. The first row of all vehicles has been roped off and plexiglass has been installed behind drivers on double deckers to help ensure a safe social distance between guests and drivers. Now, passengers have the same pickup and return location at the Riverfront Train Station ( 108 1st Avenue South Nashville, 37201).
