NASHVILLE, TN – April 18, 2019 – The Conservancy for the Parthenon and Centennial Park, in partnership with Metro Parks, is presenting “Mosaic Craft & Drafts,” an educational program featuring a visually delicious combination of craft beer and fine art.
Come explore the Parthenon and view the two current displays featuring mosaic art with the juried fine art exhibition, “Ancient Made New: The Society of American Mosaic Artists 17th Annual International Exhibit” and “One Hundred Moments in Mosaic,” while hearing from local and regional brewery experts about their Mosaic hops offerings.
“The two mosaic art exhibitions are fantastic examples of an international art form with ancient roots, whereas the relatively new Mosaic hop has already inspired our local and regional breweries.” said Katie Petrole, Director of Education at The Parthenon. “The ‘Mosaic Craft & Drafts’ program will invite you to explore innovations in art and craft beer with your senses, which will be an unparalleled learning opportunity at the Parthenon.”
“We’re excited to be introducing new adult educational programming this year in Centennial Park,” noted Justin Tam, Parthenon Partnerships Director. “The Parthenon is a perfect location to connect the ancient craft of Mosaic art to a 21st century innovation in brewing. ‘Mosaic Craft & Drafts’ is an event not to be missed.”
“Mosaic Craft & Drafts” will take place on Thursday, April 18 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM, and is a 21+ event. Admission is free with registration on The Conservancy’s website. Flights of an exciting variety of beers featuring Mosaic hops from local and regional breweries are available for purchase in advance on The Conservancy’s website or on-site at the event. Proceeds from the “Mosaic Craft & Drafts” event will support The Conservancy for the Parthenon and Centennial Park, which funds temporary exhibitions and education programming at the Parthenon.
