Puckett's 'Hitmakers' Series releases final lineup for 2019

No. 1 Hit Songwriters Take Puckett’s Stages in Partnership with Old Dominick Distillery.

MIDDLE TENNESSEE -- Since the fall of 2018, Puckett’s Gro. & Restaurant has partnered with fellow Tennessee tastemaker Old Dominick Distillery to bring the writers behind country music’s No. 1 hits to the Puckett’s stages across the restaurant’s multiple locations. The Southern eatery with a long history of featuring the industry’s most well-known acts has released the final lineup for its 2019 Hitmakers shows in Franklin, Murfreesboro, and Columbia.

“Music has always been a staple of Puckett’s culture, and songwriters are the foundation that Music City is built on,” said Claire Crowell, COO of A. Marshall Hospitality and daughter of CEO Andy Marshall. “The Hitmakers series is a wonderful way to bring Nashville’s top talent to local communities across the state in a way that celebrates music, creativity, and storytelling.”

The Hitmakers series is Spirited by Old Dominick Distillery, a Memphis, Tenn. brand with a like-minded commitment toward showcasing great local talent. The small-batch distillery specializes in whiskey, vodka, gin and its signature Memphis Toddy, with a family-owned-and-operated model much like A. Marshall Hospitality’s.

Chris Canale, a fifth generation owner of the Distillery, said the brand his great-great-grandfather built parallels Puckett’s in many ways.

“Family is everything for us at Old Dominick, and from the moment we met the A. Marshall team, we knew the same was true for them,” Canale said. “There’s no better way to create that family-like bond with our guests than by communing over good food, good drink and good music. The Hitmakers series offers a unique celebration of Southern culture and an opportunity for people of all generations to create memories with friends old and new.”

During Hitmakers shows, Puckett’s signature cocktails made with Old Dominick spirits, normally $10, are featured for $8, and co-branded Hitmakers t-shirts and merchandise are exclusively available at performances.

Puckett’s Franklin, located at 120 4th Avenue S. in the heart of downtown, hosts a ‘Hitmakers’ show every Saturday night at 8:30 p.m. with seating starting at 8. The show almost always sells out, so guests are highly encouraged to call 615-794-5527 to make reservations. A $12 cover charge will be collected at the door.

Puckett’s Murfreesboro, located on the square at 114 N. Church St., will hold its last Hitmakers show of the 2019 season on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 8:30 p.m., featuring country legends Wood Newton and Rafe Van Hoy. Newton has written some of country music’s biggest hits, including "Bobbie Sue" (Oak Ridge Boys), “Twenty Years Ago" (Kenny Rogers) and “What I Didn’t Do” (Steve Wariner). Van Hoy, who landed his first publishing contract at age 17, has written songs for George Jones, Tammy Wynette, Patty Loveless, Brooks & Dunn, Reba McEntire, Leann Rimes, Fleetwood Mac, Diana Ross and more. Tickets are available on Eventbrite.com.

The final 2019 show at Puckett’s Columbia, located at 15 Public Square, will be held Saturday, Nov. 16 at 8:30 p.m. with artists to be announced. Tickets are also available on Eventbrite.com.
