NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Playing for the first time in 45 years, Mott the Hoople, named “2019’s Great Rock Resurrection” by Variety Magazine, will stop in Nashville on Oct. 26 at the historic War Memorial Auditorium.
Tickets for Mott the Hoople at Nashville’s War Memorial Auditorium go on sale on Friday, Aug. 2, at 10 a.m. at WMARocks.com, by phone at 615-782-4030, and at the TPAC Box Office, 505 Deaderick St., in downtown Nashville.
Following a critically acclaimed spring tour with rave reviews and sold-out rooms like NYC’s Beacon Theater, the band - featuring Ian Hunter, Ariel Bender, and Morgan Fisher – will kick off an eleven-date fall run on October 21 in Port Chester, NY.
Mott the Hoople ‘74 impressed critics and delighted fans on the first leg of their 2019 tour, with immeasurable energy and timeless swagger. The Minneapolis Star Tribune called their set at First Avenue “one of the most exciting rock ‘n’ roll shows in recent memory,” while The Philadelphia Inquirer said “[Hunter’s] long, fruitful career deserves Rock and Roll Hall of Fame consideration.”
Just before the spring tour launched, Hunter closed out the 2019 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, leading 2019 inductees Def Leppard, Queen guitarist Brian May and others in an “epic performance” (Rolling Stone) of the Mott classic “All The Young Dudes.”
