Nashville may be one of the best places in the world to catch a show— and new data from Pollstar makes a pretty good case for that.
The touring industry trade publication announced winners for its 2021 year-end awards Monday, crowning Ryman Auditorium and Bridgestone Arena as top rooms for a concert in each's respective categories.
Out of all theaters globally that report to Pollstar, the Ryman — a 129-year-old tabernacle known by many as the Mother Church of Country Music — scored top honors, reporting 185,821 tickets sold and grossing $10,371,829. Atlanta's Fox Theatre landed in second place, with Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida, charting the third slot.
It marks the 13th time Pollstar award the Ryman with top annual theater honors.
Located block south of the Ryman in downtown Nashville, Bridgestone Arena landed at No. 1 for global reporting arenas, topping a list that includes some of the best-known indoor concert venues in the world — including Madison Square Garden in New York City, the Forum in Los Angeles and MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
