The Metropolitan Nashville International Airport is preparing for the projected continued growth of Nashville by expanding its facilities. The first step is to add a 115,000-square-foot Concourse D and expand terminal wings. This will include 6 new domestic aircraft gates, new dining and retail offerings, an expanded ticketing lobby, four new baggage claim carousels, and more. The expected cost is $268 million and it is expected to be complete by the summer of 2020. This is all part of a $1.2 billion renovation plan. In addition to the renovations previously mentioned, travelers should also expect to see 5,000 more parking spaces, 14 more TSA lines, an international arrival facility, and an on-site hotel all by 2025.
