Frankies Nashville is pleased to announce that its specialty Italian market will open its doors to the public on Friday, February 2. The Bottega at Frankies offers an extraordinary assortment of prepared foods and products representing the very best in Italian culinary craftsmanship, including salumi, cheeses, plus internationally celebrated olive oil produced in Selinunte, Sicily, and a new line of pastas from Frankies 457 Specialty Foods. Operating on a limited schedule for the first few weeks, the Bottega will eventually offer earlier hours, espresso drinks, and a dining menu once operating at full capacity.

Frankies Nashville is a gathering place tucked within a quiet East Nashville neighborhood and an extension of the legendary Brooklyn-based restaurant group founded by chefs Frank Castronovo and Frank Falcinelli. Helmed by co-founder and local owner-operator John Burns Paterson, Frankies Nashville encompasses a multi-faceted neighborhood-driven Italian-American culinary experience which includes its primary restaurant, Frankies 925 Spuntino, as well as The Pizzeria, The Bottega, and The Big Hall at Frankies. Just like its Brooklyn predecessors, Frankies Nashville features seasonally-driven dishes executed at the highest level and strives to foster community by delivering exceptional quality at a friendly price, in a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels like home.

What to Expect

The first Bottega opened by the iconic brand, the new spot is filled with antiques and eclectic finds by Paterson. A large window behind the counter gives guests a front-row seat to the Frankies pasta-making operation; and Paterson’s Montgomery, Alabama roots lend a special Southern influence to the New York-Italian market experience, with country hams incorporated into the salumi program and a custom floor-art installation by his mother-in-law, a Birmingham native and current resident.

Guests can expect to see sundries sourced from the globe’s best purveyors, including fresh pastas from the culinary team at Frankies Nashville and Lady Edison Country Ham out of North Carolina, in addition to international imports such as Rodolphe Le Meunier Salted Butter from France, I Contadini La Gialla (yellow tomato sauce) from Puglia, Italy, and a selection of tinned Conservas Braseadas - seafood - from Asturias, Spain’s Restaurante Güeyu Mar.

The Frankies 457 Specialty Foods line was founded by Falcinelli and Castonovo as a way to introduce America to Italian ingredients of the highest quality. The line of jarred olives, olive oils, and handmade pastas are the result of remarkable craftsmanship, a respect for heritage, and a lifetime of experience. Castelvetrano olives are grown on the chefs’ farm in Selinunte, Sicily, where they are harvested, cold-pressed, and packaged on-site before making their way to the Bottega’s shelves.
