New Fitness Studio Two-Steps into Nashville

Sneakers and water bottles meet whiskey and cowboy boots at Music City’s first line-dancing workout, Country Fusion.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 23, 2021) – Nashville’s newest fitness studio unites line dancing lessons with an exercise class. Country Fusion opens its first studio to the public with a soft opening on Friday, July 2 and a grand opening on Thursday, July 15, located minutes from The Nashville Palace and Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center.

At Country Fusion, participants of all ages and experience levels can engage in 50-minute LIIT (low-intensity interval training) classes that burn an average of 500 calories per session. The fitness program is based on classic and new country line dances and infuses four wild card, non-country dances, such as swing, bachata, salsa, merengue and more.

Founded in 2016, Country Fusion now has 250 instructors worldwide from Australia to Spain that teach online and in local gyms such as YMCAs. The Nashville studio opening marks the first brick-and-mortar location for the brand.

Founder Elizabeth Mooney is an example of Country Fusion herself—a New York professional dancer and choreographer, Off-Broadway producer and actress that fell in love with line dancing after visiting a dude ranch in upstate New York each year as a child. Mooney has been dancing since the age of two and has been a fitness instructor for more than 10 years.

“Whether you’re a Nashville resident looking for a calorie-burning dance workout or you’re a tourist wanting to learn to line dance before hitting the honky-tonks, Country Fusion is for everyone,” said Elizabeth Mooney, founder and owner of Country Fusion. “If you love country music or maybe it's not your favorite, the classes cater to all types of dance styles and genres, allowing people to learn dances no matter their experience level, age or gender.”

Participants in Country Fusion will see improvements in their overall muscle endurance, fat loss and weight management, improved core and joint strength, better coordination, balance and memory.

For those interested in trying Country Fusion, there are various class packages or membership options available—a five class pack costs $65, while a Country Fusion unlimited membership costs $99 per month. Guests who want to try the workout will receive 50 percent off their first class.

Private group sessions are also available for booking. Memberships, class packages and private sessions can be booked online, by calling the studio at 615-679-5771 or emailing elizabeth@countryfusion.net

Country Fusion is located at 2416 Music Valley Dr, Suite 142, Nashville, TN 37214. Those interested in applying for a certified instructor position at Country Fusion can contact the studio.
